ArtSpeak / From Page to Performance is the long running creative poetry/writing series that follows an Ekphrastic model (using artwork and visuals to prompt writing) and includes:
* Long and Short Poetry forms
* Poems and Writings of new diverse authors
* Visits with familiar and known poets/writers
* Discussion of Craft
* Prompts to jump-start your writing

The From Page to Performance component will:
* Hone your reading aloud and performance skills
* Prepare you for Open Mics, Slams
* Creates opportunities for writers to perform at BDAC
These events are funded in part by Poets & Writers with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts
with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature
